Both were slightly injured, the fire department said. A short time later, the fire brigade arrived at the five-story building. They rescued 13 people from the house, and six other residents brought themselves to safety, it was said.
Children injured
Twelve people, including five children, were taken to nearby clinics with minor injuries. The nine other rescued people were reportedly uninjured. Stored goods and junk had burned in the basement and the stairwell was heavily smoked. According to initial information, 70 firefighters extinguished the fire.
