A concert in tribute to the “French Touch”. The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games takes place this Sunday, August 11 at the Stade de France. As tradition dictates, it is with a concert that the two weeks of sporting festivities end. While the opening ceremony featured Lady Gaga and Céline Dion in particular, this time, the French rock group Phoenix was in the spotlight. After performing some of their hits, the band gave way for a few moments to another French musician, Kavinsky, who, on the turntables, offered his essential piece “Nightcall”, the soundtrack to the film “Drive”.
To perform this hit the Belgian Angèle was invited. Divine in a black jumpsuit, she caused a sensation on the stage which was surrounded by all the athletes. Other artists were also there, including the Cambodian rapper VannDa et Ezra Koenig du groupe Vampire Weekend.

The closing ceremony, unlike the opening ceremony which took place on the Seine, in the heart of Paris, is this time held at the Stade de France. It must bridge the gap between the capital and Los Angeles, which will host the Games in 2028.
