AREMA FC picked up full points in the seventh week of Liga 1. Singo Edan won dramatically 2-1 in the away match against PSIS Semarang with a late goal at the end of the match.
In the match played at the Moch Soebroto Stadium, Magelang, Thursday (26/9), Arema’s victory was achieved thanks to a brace from Dalberto which was scored within five minutes.
This victory moved Arema up to eighth in the standings with a collection of nine points. Meanwhile, PSIS is in 12th place with seven points.
Both teams had difficulty creating golden opportunities in the first half which was 0-0 at halftime.
PSIS Semarang broke the deadlock in the 51st minute thanks to Tri Setiawan’s goal. However, PSIS was forced to play with 10 people after that.
Riyan Ardiansyah made a hard tackle on Dalberto and was given a red card.
Arema FC utilized their advantage in the number of players to suppress the opponent’s defense. The goal that Singo Edan had been waiting for was created in the 90th minute. Dalberto scored with a header.
Arema was able to get the winning goal five minutes later. Dalverto scored his second goal in the 90+5 minute. (Z-6)
