Government promotes the modernization of the Labor Code through social dialogue

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (Mtess) calls for labor law professionals to join the first working group promoted by the Government, with a view to modernizing the Labor Code.

This is the proposal for “Modernization of the Labor Code: Moving towards Decent Work and the Improvement of National Productivity”, which aims to review and update the fundamental aspects of current labor legislation through expanded social dialogue.

The first meeting of this working group will take place this Thursday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m., at the Mtess headquarters, located on Luis Alberto de Herrera and Paraguarí streets, in Asunción.

The purpose of the space is to promote high-level technical-legal discussions in which legal professionals will be able to contribute their knowledge, experiences and proposals to improve the current regulatory framework, addressing current labor needs and proposing viable and equitable solutions that guarantee rights and obligations of both workers and employers.

The Minister of Labor, Mónica Recalde, pointed out that this initiative seeks to generate high-level technical and legal discussions, where current labor needs will be addressed and solutions will be proposed that guarantee the rights and obligations of the parties involved in the Paraguayan labor market.

“The active participation of labor law experts will be crucial to design a regulatory framework that promotes productivity and labor justice,” he highlighted.
