Greed for quick profit… How do Moroccans fall victim to network marketing companies?

For years, my Moroccan brothers have been bitten from the same hole because of greed for quick profit and without any significant effort. Therefore, there are many scammers who take advantage of this weakness of theirs and rob them of their money willingly and without any significant effort.

The popular Moroccan proverb says: “Nothing kills the greedy but the liar.” And since there are so many greedy people, there must be many liars and swindlers who tempt them and promise them a bright future and unlimited money in exchange for investing their money.
The scam has spread through network or pyramid marketing since the late nineties, when fake companies appeared that host dozens of people in luxury apartments or hotels, explain to them how it works, and assure them that dozens of their clients have become billionaires in record time.
These types of companies have relied and depend on attracting the largest number of victims, requiring each victim to attract other victims in order to double his income. As the number of victims grows, these companies earn huge sums of money and their owners become rich in a short time.
Since the end of the nineties, many scammers have been arrested in this way, and the victims have not recovered their money. However, whenever a new company of this type appears, it finds its victims more than the previous one, and the victims bite from the same hole and trust the sweet words that the new scammers offer them.
Among the network and pyramid marketing companies, a company fell months ago with an estimated number of thousands of victims, whether from inside or outside the country, after the owner of the company emptied all the bank accounts, in which more than 17 billion cents were reserved. The accused was arrested after complaints from a group of victims, who only reaped fake profits through network marketing of the company’s products.
This week, the most dangerous scam in the name of network marketing fell, and its victims numbered in the hundreds, and it earned billions as a result of the scam operations. It was also announced that a Malaysian company was scammed in the same way, and its victims were many. However, I heard if you called for a rock, but there is no life for the one you call, as the poet said.
Why do some people want to get rich quickly? There is a Moroccan proverb that says: What goes up early will go down soon, and Schopenhauer says, “Everything that grows slowly lasts long.” Stop being greedy, my brothers, and do not believe anyone, no matter how sweet his words are, for the path of thorns is all roses.
