Azhar Ali, captain of the Test team, offered the valuable jersey for auction

Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali has put his prized jersey and bat up for auction to contribute to the relief fund against the coronavirus.

Azhar Ali has announced to auction two valuable items from his cricket career to contribute to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund against the virus.

In an announcement on the social networking website Twitter, he said, “I am offering two of my dearest things for auction to help people in the crisis of this virus.”

He said that the bidding for these two items will start at 10 lakh per person and the bidding process will continue till May 5.

Among the two items offered for auction by Azhar Ali is the bat with which he scored a triple century against the West Indies and became the first batsman in the world to score a triple century in a day-night Test.

Apart from this, he also offered his Champions Trophy 2017 shirt for auction where Pakistan defeated India in the final to become the champion.

In his video posted on Twitter, he said that this Champions Trophy shirt has the signatures of all the players of the squad.

He said that these two things are very close to my heart but if they can help people in difficult times, I will be more happy.

It should be remembered that the number of deaths due to corona virus continues around the world and so far more than 2 lakh 18 thousand people have died and more than 31 lakh 41 thousand have been affected by the virus.

In Pakistan, more than 300 people have died so far due to the virus, the nationwide lockdown continues.

The Prime Minister had established a Corona Relief Fund for the people affected by the lockdown, in which donations from various organizations and people are continuing.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board had donated more than one crore rupees to the relief fund on behalf of itself and its employees.
