Joe Rogan Warns About Potential Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris

Joe Rogan’s Dire Prediction: ‘Elon Musk Could Be at Risk’ If Harris Takes the 2024 Presidency

Renowned podcast host Joe Rogan has expressed serious concerns about the future of free speech if Kamala Harris becomes the US President. Speaking on his show, Rogan highlighted the current state of social media restrictions and identified X and Rumble as the only platforms allowing unrestricted speech.

During a recent episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan said, “I don’t think it [censorship] turns around if Kamala Harris gets into office. I think they clamp down more.” He referred to Harris’s past comments on social media accountability, emphasizing her stance on handling misinformation and hate speech.

In a 2019 address to the NAACP, Harris had stated, “We will hold social media platforms accountable for the hate infiltrating their platforms because they have a responsibility to help fight against this threat to our democracy.” She underscored the need for regulations on platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has previously noted significant pressure to censor content, calling it “wrong.” Rogan reiterated the potential implications of these views, especially if Harris and the Democrats gain power.Elon Musk, owner of X, supported Rogan’s view by writing, “Joe Rogan is absolutely right,” in agreement about the First Amendment being under threat.Rogan also critiqued Democrats for recent statements on free speech. He mentioned Tim Walz’s remark that the First Amendment does not protect misinformation or hate speech. Rogan countered, saying, “OK, well, it certainly does.” The Supreme Court ruled in 2021 that hate speech is protected under free speech.

Additionally, Rogan questioned the bans on content that often turn out to be accurate. Addressing COVID-19 mask mandates, he claimed, “Face masks don’t work,” despite studies indicating their effectiveness in curbing virus spread.

A recent Freedom Forum survey revealed that fewer Americans support the First Amendment today, with only 58% of respondents affirming their support, a decline from 2020.
