Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health reported that the product is available for the treatment of about 200 patients diagnosed with cancer at the National Cancer Institute. The medicine suffered a delay in the delivery date by the supplier who finally sent 400 vials – ampoules today.
After the health ministry informed the company Almos SA, the sole supplier of the drug Pembrolizumab, used for oncological treatment at Incan, the specialized hospital received 400 vials – ampoules of the drug.
This situation generated by the delay in the arrival of the product due to an unforeseen origin, according to the supplying company, directly affected about 200 patients of the Institute, including those treated in the decentralized health networks and those who access this medication via appeal for protection.
The Ministry of Public Health reiterates its firm commitment to continue taking all necessary measures to guarantee access to treatment for each of the patients who use this drug.
