The works on the superhighway to Puerto Indio are 25% complete

Asunción, IP Agency.- Work on Lot 1 of National Route 21PY, which connects Puerto Indio with the Superhighway, has progressed by 25%. The tasks continue with cleaning, clearing and execution of the test track for the causeway at km 8, as well as the maintenance of the auxiliary roads throughout the section.

In addition to these items, the execution of embankment, improved subgrade and the placement of granular base continues. In another sector, progress is being made with the irrigation of primer and irrigation of league, prior to the placement of asphalt concrete and black base layer. At the same time, the construction of works of art continues, such as cellular reinforced concrete culverts at kilometers 1.7, 3.5 and 14.

Likewise, progress is maintained on the three reinforced concrete bridges. In the first, located at kilometer 15.2, work is being done on assembling the head of the first abutment. On the second bridge, at kilometer 20.8, the concreting for abutment 2 is being loaded. While, on the third bridge, located at kilometer 22.5, the cleaning concrete for the head of abutment 1 is being prepared.

This road project, which is being executed in two lots, aims to integrate the district of Mbaracayú and its entire area of ​​direct influence in the department of Alto Paraná with the rest of the country and Brazil. This through the paving of 61 kilometers of a work that will boost private investment and contribute to the generation of employment in the area.

The construction tasks of Lot 1 are in charge of the company Benito Roggio e Hijos SA, the execution of the project is the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and is financed by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, with an investment of G. 153,766,291,972.
