Only digital submission of deeds and applications to all Land Registry Offices and Branches in the country

The mandatory electronic submission of deeds and applications started from the Land Registry Offices and Branches of the Hellenic Land Registry in the Region of Attica and continued in the Metropolitan Municipality of Thessaloniki, where the measurable benefits in saving time and costs, both for citizens and for the State, are impressively.

Specifically, only digitally will be submitted:

Deeds drawn up by Notaries and submitted for registration by them and by natural and legal persons, with the exception of notarial deeds a) distribution, b) exchange, c) modifications of horizontal and vertical properties containing more than one KAEK and d) setting up a condominium with sale.

Deeds drawn up or negotiated by lawyers and related to a) elimination of collateral and b) registration of pre-notification.

Requests for out-of-court corrections, such as requests for the correction of obvious errors and requests under article 6 par. 4 of Law 2664/1998, submitted by Lawyers, Notaries, Court Administrators, as well as by natural and legal persons.

In view of the imminent expiry of the deadline for correcting the initial entries on 30.11.2024, a large number of correction requests are expected to be submitted. The Hellenic Land Registry, with the extension of the application of the mandatory electronic submission of correction requests nationwide, seeks to contribute to the service of traders, speeding up the processing of relevant cases in a digital way, while at the same time saving resources and reducing the administrative cost of operating its services.

At the same time, the use of artificial intelligence by the Land Registry, as the first public body in Greece to apply AI to administrative decisions, significantly accelerates the control actions of the heads of the Land Registry Offices, drastically reduces the time and cost of the procedures and ensures high quality services to citizens and professionals.

In the context of better service to traders, from Monday September 30, 2024, uniform and extended hours will be established throughout the country, from 08:30 to 13:30, for on-site research of the books and records kept by the Land Registry Offices and Branches.

The goal of the Hellenic Land Registry is to modernize the services provided by Land Registry Offices and Branches and the innovative and digital transformation of their operation, contributing to the provision of upgraded services to all citizens and professionals.
