Workshop, “Banana Capital”

Tembiaporã, known as the “Banana Capital”, will celebrate 46 years of colonization on November 10. Currently, it has 20,000 inhabitants and is the largest banana producer in the country, marketing to the national market and exporting to countries such as Argentina and Uruguay. There are also projects to export to Chile and European nations.

Maria Antonia

María Antonia is one of the newest municipalities in the country, created in 2016 by Law No. 5676. It was separated from the Mbuyapey district so that its population could have autonomy in making important decisions that affect the town, after several years of abandonment. Today it has about 5,000 inhabitants, mostly dedicated to agriculture and livestock.
