The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) confirmed that they launched today (17/4) airstrikes against Hezbollah positions in eastern Lebanon. In particular, Israeli warplanes hit Hezbollah infrastructure on the outskirts of Baalbek, in the Bekaa Valley, which is about 100 kilometers from the border with Israel.

“Earlier this evening, fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) hit important Hezbollah infrastructure that houses the terrorist organization’s air defense systems, in the northern part of Baalbek,” the statement said.

It was preceded by an attack by Hezbollah with rockets and drones in northern Israel, which caused the injury of 14 Israeli soldiers.
