TGV Sud-Est: significant disruptions after a “shock” on a train, up to 4 hours late at Gare de Lyon

Your weekend departure may be more complicated than expected. A TGV Ouigo, leaving Paris towards Marseille Saint-Charles station, was immobilized due to a technical incident on the South-East high-speed line this Friday afternoon, causing disruptions and delays on the entire TGV Sud-Est line.

“An impact requiring a technical check on a train near Tonnerre (Yonne) interrupts traffic in both directions of the South-East high-speed line. The SNCF teams are mobilized,” indicated the railway company, at a traffic point around 3:30 p.m.

Traffic resumed around 4 p.m., according to SNCF, which indicates that it will remain severely disrupted until 6 p.m. and that “delays and extensions of time are to be expected” until late in the day.

On the arrivals side, the disruptions seem greater, with around twenty trains delayed, including a TGV from Annecy scheduled with a 4-hour delay.
