Africa Specialty Risks announces the appointment of Aurélien Sauty as Director of the Marine and Aviation lines –

LONDON, September 26, 2024 -/African Media Agency (AMA)/- Africa Specialty Risks (ASR), an insurance and reinsurance group operating in Africa and the Middle East, announces the appointment of Aurélien Sauty as head of its new Marine and Aviation division, as Head Of Marine and Aviation Lines.

Aurélien, based in the ASR office in Dubai, brings more than 16 years of expertise in the field of insurance, with a strong specialization in the Marine and Aviation lines. He started at AXA, where he worked as an underwriter in France, Dubai and London. Recently, Aurélien held the position of Assistant Vice President in charge of Marine activities for the Middle East at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.

This strategic expansion, together with Aurélien’s appointment, illustrates ASR’s commitment to offering premium, global underwriting solutions, specifically designed for risks specific to Africa and the Middle East. The new Marine and Aviation lines will aim to offer specialized coverage, perfectly suited to the complex risks inherent in these sectors.

This launch comes at a key time when the logistics, shipping and aviation sectors are experiencing strong expansion. ASR’s new offering will help mitigate the risks inherent in these industries, while facilitating operations and supporting the economic growth of the countries concerned.
