French security official: Morocco contributed effectively to the success of organizing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and enhances international security cooperation

The Special Advisor for International Relations at the National Directorate of the French Judicial Police, Luca Philippe, confirmed, Thursday in Marrakesh, that Morocco contributed “effectively” to the success of organizing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Mr. Philippe said, in a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press Agency, on the sidelines of an international workshop on the security and safety of major demonstrations, organized by the General Directorate of National Security, in coordination with Interpol, through the “Stadia” project: “I would like to thank Morocco for its effective contribution to the success of the event.” Olympic Games Paris 2024.

After describing French-Moroccan cooperation in the security field as “intensive,” Philippe pointed out that the two countries “share the same security problems and we are trying to find common solutions while respecting our policies and in a spirit of openness and pragmatism.”

This international workshop, which concluded today, sought to accompany Morocco’s organization of the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup jointly with Spain and Portugal, by contributing to strengthening the capabilities of national security personnel in organizing major demonstrations.

In addition to the Moroccan frameworks specialized in the field of sports security and the organization of major demonstrations, this two-day workshop witnessed the participation of international officials and security experts representing Interpol, the Confederation of African Football, and the International Federation of Association Football, as well as experts in sports security from a number From Arab, African and European countries.
