Islamabad High Court Allowed Release of MD CAT Results – Pakistan

Islamabad High Court allowed Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto University to release Medical Admission Test (MDCAT) results, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked that the MDCAT results will be subject to the final order of the court.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed by 6 students including Amar Naeem, Shahzeb Wazir and Saba Iman to re-take the medical admission test of MD CAT due to out-of-syllabus questions.

Other officials including Registrar PMDC and Registrar University appeared who said that PMDC formed a committee headed by Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Medical College Professor Umar, there are 6 questions whose level was high and grace marks were given, one According to the confidential report, some outsiders want to make matters worse, 22,500 students took the exam in Islamabad, out of which 200 students complained.

The court said that nothing like this happened in any other province, why did it happen here? On which the lawyer of the students said that if the authorities had uploaded the question paper and answer sheet on the website, they would not have come here.

The university lawyer said that the test ended at 1.30 am and was uploaded at 6.30 am, same happened last year.

The court said that this happens every year, so why not make such a mechanism so that it does not happen every year.

The Islamabad High Court, while allowing Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto University to release the MD CAT results, said that the MD CAT results will be subject to the final order of the court.

The court adjourned the hearing for one day while seeking notification of the PMDC committee and directing the inclusion of 2 student representatives.

It may be remembered that yesterday the Islamabad High Court had stopped Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University from releasing the MD CAT results.
