Diamantopoulou: We want a lot of people to go to the polls 2024-09-27 07:30:34

In particular, the candidate for PASOK president, Ms. Diamantopoulou, appeared on the “Epilogue” show of ERT and mentioned, among other things, the post she made regarding the Androulakis-Doukas feud: “There were many skirmishes on social media. Let’s not stick to SYRIZA. The debate showed that we can speak calmly and simply, we showed that we have roots, that we are a party with democratic experience, that it knows how to elect its leaders without being divided.”

Regarding the objections to the debate and the course of the intra-party pre-election “race”, he noted: “There are no elections without objections and hazing, it’s a nerveless thing. What should not be done and is being done, is that there are people who support the candidates, there are the members of the Central Committee, the deputies, the candidate deputies, who must set an example. I mean, I go out and support one candidate, I don’t have to blame the other.

When this is done and I see it repeatedly on the broadcasts, i.e. I see named PASOK officials blaming the other candidates – it creates a problem down below, at the base. It is very essential and I am making a request. We want a lot of people to go to the polls. And I assure you that what happened in the debate I see now, for the last 15 days, every day. We will pass the 270,000 votes from the previous PASOK internal party elections.

I was at an event in Heraklion, Crete, where 650 to 700 people rushed. It was out to the street. Now I was in Marousi. There were 400 people, where PASOK is not at its best in Athens. I see it everywhere I go. How much traffic there is now, what current there is and people come to listen.

And I have been hearing for years “I have years to enter a political event.” We didn’t go to political events. We want to listen to PASOK”. That is, what was seen in the debate with the numbers, I see it all the time. And this whole process gave PASOK the opportunity to rise because everyone sees that a change is very likely the next day. PASOK should not be a stagnant party, it should have a dynamic to say new things. But this presupposes that we will proceed calmly and ethically towards the elections, so that there are no “slaps below the waist”, because these leave a big mark”.

Madrid: A football player asked a fan for a cigarette in the stadium – He lit it normally

Pappas: I will not run – I will not publicly endorse a candidate

Heraklion: An elderly woman was the victim of a fraud for an alleged traffic accident – She was robbed of 3,500 euros
