Fell 6 meters during a performance in the circus in Burghausen: Artist (29) wakes up from coma

The condition of the artist Amalia Avanesian is stable, the Circus Krone announced on Thursday. The 29-year-old woman suffered a traumatic brain injury when she fell during a performance on Saturday in Burghausen. “She has now woken up from the artificial coma and is responsive.”

The accident occurred during Circus Krone’s current tour of Germany. The artist, who is part of the award-winning duo Flash of Splash, and her partner performed a number on the straps, which are ribbons used for aerial acrobatics. The 29-year-old slipped for unknown reasons and fell into the depths in front of the audience at the almost sold-out performance.
