The iPhones 16 went on pre-sale here in Brazil the day before yesterday (24/9), but they can already be considered a success — at least that’s what the Itaú esteem. Second data obtained by Technoblogthe bank sold 3,5 mil units in just 48 hours.
As determined by the website, this performance represents a 40% jump when compared to the same period last year — that is, when the iPhones 15 also went on pre-sale here.
Even though it comes with subtle changes and more expensive prices in Brazil, everything indicates that the new line really caught the attention of the brand’s fans, who (apparently) are willing to invest in changing their smartphone.
The highlight of the pre-sale was the iPhone 16 Pro Maxwhich has become the model most sought after by consumers. It is estimated that, in total, revenue exceeded the R$30 million in the first two days.
In an interview, the bank celebrated the success and attributed part of this growth to the program iPhone foreverwhich allows the device to be purchased in more than 20 installments, in addition to offering the opportunity to exchange for the next model when renewing the contract.
Market sources indicate that Itaú is already the largest seller of Maçã products in Brazil, surpassing retailers such as iPlace and Fast Shop — although the bank does not confirm this. The pre-sale of the iPhones 16, in fact, had 10 times more registrations than that of the iPhones 15, according to the company.
If everything goes as expected, sales and deliveries of the new devices will officially begin tomorrow (9/27). Has anyone already secured the new device?
