Famous actress Mahira Khan says that it was not possible for the film ‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ to be made in any other language because it would not have been fun.
In an exclusive conversation with Independent Urdu, Mahira Khan talked about her work and experiences in the film.
When Mahira was asked that her name sounds like Khan, yet she acted in a Punjabi film instead of Pashto, to which the actress said that she had heard this objection for the first time because ‘the name of the film is Moula Jat. Therefore, it was not possible to make it in any other language. It’s not fun.’
Mahira said: ‘When I used to read dialogues myself, I used to say that I would have lost the fun of it in Urdu or any other language, but inshallah Pashto will also make a film and we will make it.’
He said that he didn’t understand Punjabi at all and still doesn’t, but now he understands a little.
According to Mahira: ‘This film was being made in Lahore, so I used to go somewhere to buy something, so I tried to speak in Punjabi.
“Initially, my Punjabi was laughed at because I used to do all three, but then eventually, I understood the meaning of the words, understood the purpose of these dialogues, then I understood because I was not ridiculed.”

Mahira Khan said that Hamza Ali Abbasi helped her a lot in speaking Punjabi, he was there to help her every day on the set, whether she had breasts or not.

About the character of Mukho Jatti, Mahira Khan said that this girl is very ‘bindas’, she is not afraid of anyone, she does not hesitate to do anything.

Mahira Khan said that she doesn’t know if she could ever do a Punjabi film again, it was a film in which she also had a language problem, so she liked the role of Mukho.
Also, Mahira revealed that she was told not to watch the old Moolah Jat, but she watched some parts of it because she had never seen a Punjabi film before, and was not familiar with the Punjabi language and culture. It was important to see.
“I have seen many Punjabi songs, seen many movie scenes, then when I did the first scene on the set, it was like Mahira came out. Every role I have has Mahira, but you won’t see it in Mukho.”
On the complaint of not working with Fawad Khan after ‘Humsafar’, he said, ‘Deer came right and it has been a long time, but now there is Mola Jat, after that ‘Nilufar’ will also come, then this complaint will be removed. will.’
