Baumann Sports Academy becomes DEFCON® Sports School

Villingen-Schwenningen (ots) –

The DEFCON® sports school is pleased to announce the merger with the Baumann Sports Academy. This step represents a significant milestone in the further development of the two renowned martial arts schools under the umbrella of BB Kampfsport GmbH. As the management announced, the aim of the merger is to create the basis for the creation of one of the largest and best martial arts school chains in Germany. The aim is to continuously improve the quality of training, optimize the service and create the basis for further expansion.

Managing Director Falk Berberich: “Martial arts offer many advantages – in addition to physical fitness, the knowledge of being able to defend yourself in dangerous situations strengthens the self-confidence and safety of the participants. With BB Kampfsport GmbH, we have always pursued the mission of making the advantages of martial arts accessible to a wide audience. The merger of the Baumann Sports Academy and the DEFCON® Sports School under a common name is another important step on this path. By merging, we can further improve the quality of training through intensive exchange and joint training among the trainer teams. Our central office in Villingen-Schwenningen, which has a total area of around 300 square meters, enables us to process member inquiries even faster and further increase the quality of service. In addition, we are creating the basis for the expansion and distribution of our successful concepts, including Krav Maga DEFCON®, kickboxing and JUNIOR HEROES®.”

With the merger, the Baumann Sports Academy locations in Singen and Überlingen will in future be run under a common name. The renowned DEFCON® sports school, which has always been the training center for Krav Maga DEFCON® and the licensor of the Baumann Sports Academy, will now appear as a unified brand. Robin Baumann, a successful competitor and experienced trainer, was appointed chief instructor of Krav Maga DEFCON® by Armin and Falk Berberich – and will therefore assume responsibility for the technology development and trainer training of the concept in the future. For customers, this means that in the future they will be able to benefit from the best processes and the combined knowledge of both schools.

Another significant innovation concerns merchandise: the entire range is to be revised in order to be able to offer members even better product quality and a larger selection of products in the future. Through joint recruiting and the stronger employer brand, experienced martial artists can be recruited for the teams in order to continuously improve the quality of training. The plan is to put every single process to the test in order to constantly achieve small improvements in all areas.

“Since our founding, we have made it our mission to offer beginners and advanced students an outstanding opportunity for athletic, mental and personal development through our certified Krav Maga training program. With the upcoming merger, rebranding and process optimization, which will be officially completed at the turn of the year, we are taking another important step on this path. Our team has been working intensively on the upcoming changes for over a year to ensure that all measures are completed on time. We are looking forward to finally aligning the brand. At heart, we have always been DEFCON® – and now we are wearing it on our chest again,” says Managing Director Robin Baumann.
