77 USFs in San Pedro are strengthened with the provision of medicines and supplies

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health reports that 77 Family Health Units in the Second Health Region, department of San Pedro, were supplied with an investment of 3,757,028,674 guaraníes, equivalent to 487,926 dollars, corresponding to 1,540,807 units of medicines and supplies.

Delivery to the USFs began yesterday, in order to cover the care according to the population they cover. Of the 77 USFs benefited in the region, 48 have more than 3,500 people, 21 have a population between 1,500 and 3,500 and 8 USFs have less than 1,500 people as users.

The health portfolio highlights that through an agreement with the National Postal Service of Paraguay, it continues its efforts to guarantee the supply of medicines and supplies to Family Health Units (USF) throughout the country, distributing kits for primary care in the communities.

On this occasion, these services in San Pedro received significant resources that will contribute to improving health care in the communities of the region.

This delivery represents a constant effort to guarantee the timely provision of medicines and strengthen care in the most needy areas of the country, promoting the well-being of communities and equitable access to health services, says the Ministry of Public Health.
