Coordinator General COMSTEC Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry said in a conversation with Independent Urdu that ‘Palestine is the heartbeat of Pakistanis and Muslims.’
He said that after the Palestinian aggression on Gaza after October 7, 2023, “the educational, cultural, scientific institutions of Palestine have been destroyed under the strategy.”
Dr. Iqbal Chaudhry said that “Our challenge is that Pakistan should give them the technical manpower required for the reconstruction and development of Palestine as a gift.”
In the first phase of the COMSTEC Palestine program, five fellowships were announced in different fields of science and technology, health and agriculture, of which 95 students have been fully funded by COMSTEC, most of whom are students from Pakistan. I am studying.
On this occasion, Ambassador of Palestine Ahmed Jawad Rabi welcomed the announcement of 5,000 fellowships for Palestinian students by private universities of Pakistan and COMSTEC.
A Palestinian student studying in Pakistan, Walai Marwan Ibrahim Al-Jubour, said that she is from Khan Yunis in Gaza and according to her, Pakistanis did not leave her side in difficult times.

‘I am in touch with them (my family), I lost 24 members of my family in one night and still 12 members of my family are living in tents for six months and they are facing difficulties. There is no electricity, gas or internet in Palestine, it is so difficult for them to live there.’
She said that she wants to return to Palestine, but because of the Israeli siege, ‘no one is allowed to enter Palestine of their own free will.’
‘It is my dream to go there and do something for them. It is impossible to go there. I hope to go to Palestine and do something about it.’
Another student, Bara Marwan Ibrahim Al-Jobour, said that she wanted to do something for Palestine. “Because of the current situation in Palestine, we have shattered all our dreams.”
He said that his family members are currently in Rafah, whom he contacts on telephone.
