In this review, Dubai International Airport ranked first in the Middle East. While Qatar’s Doha Hamad International Airport was second, Johannesburg Airport was third, Riyadh’s Shah Khalid Airport was fourth and Egypt’s Cairo International Airport was fifth.

According to the institute’s data, major airlines dominated the flights departing and landing at these airports, with the leading airlines operating about fifty percent of the flights at the ten largest airports in the region on average.

Dubai International Airport was named the highest-ranked non-Asian airport in the Top 25 Low-Cost Carrier Airport Megahubs.

In this regard, Dubai International Airport is ranked seventh in the world, while it was ranked nineteenth in 2019. The airport’s largest carrier, Emirates Airlines, captured forty-nine percent of the flight share.
