General Assembly: This is how Vorwärts Steyr wants to reposition itself

The most important item on the agenda is the election of a new board. The current board has put forward a nomination proposal that presents both experienced and new people for the board of the traditional club. The nomination proposal is Markus Knasmüller (President), Georg Baumgartner (Vice President), Daniela Zeiner (Secretary), Sven Mitterhuemer (Cashier & Finance), Gerald Perzy (Sports) and Rainer Mursch (Infrastructure & Security).

The mix of experience and fresh energy should lead the club into a positive future. Daniela Zeiner and Sven Mitterhuemer would like to become part of the Vorwärts board for the first time.

Mitterhuemer is to take over the position of the current treasurer Lukas Haidinger and Zeiner from Bernhard Pospisil. “Together with the team, I want to create a strategic new start for a sustainable future,” says Mitterhuemer. Managing Director of “Mitterhuemer: People – Energy – Technology” He emphasizes the importance of the association for the city and sees his role in promoting a “culture of togetherness”. Zeiner is managing director of the Stadtgut Group Steyr and heads the Future Region Steyr network.

The two current vice presidents and long-standing board members Reinhard Schlager and Michael Obermair will no longer be running for office. The multiple demands of intensive club work, family and professional commitments can no longer be reconciled. However, both emphasize that they will continue to support Vorwärts as sponsors and supporters.

Gerald Perzy will take over the position of sports from Günther Stöffelbauer. The board itself is to be reduced again. Heinz Weinberger, Sabrina Waldbauer and Jörg Rigger will leave the board without being replaced. They will not be completely lost in the background of Vorwärts either.
