Are you ready to face even more ferocious hordes of undead? The new “Extinction” update is now available for World War Z: Aftermaththe popular cooperative shooter from Saber Interactive. This update, free on PC tramite Steam ed Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S e Xbox Oneintroduces new Mutators for Challenge Mode, the Arizona XL map in Horde Challenge Mode, a customization option for Heavy Weapon Skins, the Premium DLC Pack Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack and the new, ruthless Extinction Challenge mode!

The Extinction Challenge Mode raises the difficulty level, with more aggressive and resistant zombies, capable of infecting you on contact. Allies will be harder to distinguish from the rest of the horde and death will occur after a single incapacitation, with respawns only at checkpoints. Each week, the Extinction Challenge mode will feature rotating maps from a campaign episode. Players who complete all maps in an episode for the first time will receive bonus rewards, including a heavy weapon skin, 350 blue coins, and 1,000 gold coins.

Additionally, the update introduces 13 new mutators for Horde Challenge mode, including:

  • Grenadier: The Bomber launches explosives until it is neutralized
  • Miopia: after aiming, vision becomes blurred
  • Plague Creatures: Special zombies and random poison clouds appear during the wave
  • Mass Contamination: The Booster infects a larger group of nearby zombies
  • Turrets arrabbiate: All deployed turrets become neutral, threatening both zombies and players
  • New Perks for All 8 Classes: Increases health and damage by 50% for each class

Additionally, new premium cosmetic styles are available today for your arsenal. Priced at $4.99 on PC, the DLC Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack adds elegant floral motifs to five weapons: the Geist 17MP pistol, the Paladin LMG rifle, the Keris V10 SMG, the BSS-2 shotgun, and the MAG-5 submachine gun.
