Rudolf Wölfer is the new site manager of the chemical company Borealis in Linz. He replaced Thorsten Löhl, who will remain with the company as Director of Research and Development.
Wölfer is a graduate of the Vienna University of Technology, joined Borealis in 1989 and is also expected to improve the organisation of the innovation centres in Linz, Sweden and Finland and focus them more on the core business.
With his “extensive experience in the areas of innovation and product portfolio management,” the new head will assume responsibility for the Linz site and also take on a coordinating role between the innovation centers, explained Borealis Vice President Erik Van Praet.
