World Cup: Fakhar Zaman beats Duckworth-Louis and New Zealand

Pakistan beat New Zealand by 21 runs in a rain-affected match at Bengaluru in World Cup 2023.

Chasing New Zealand’s target of 402 runs, Pakistan scored 200 runs in 25.3 overs and defeated New Zealand by 21 runs under Duckworth-Louis.

Only one player of Pakistan got out, but due to Fakhar Zaman’s smoky performance and Babar Azam’s responsible batting, the Pakistani team won this match by playing aggressively.

Pakistan had to score at least 179 runs in 25 overs according to the Duckworth-Louis law, but the Pakistani team scored 200 runs in the same number of overs.

Fakhar Zaman was declared the man of the match for scoring 126 runs off 81 balls. His innings included 11 sixes and eight fours. Captain Babar Azam scored 66 runs off 63 balls.
