The Barranquilla-based businessman and chef Tulio Zuloaga, known as Tulio Recomienda, recognized for recommending culinary experiences across Colombia and for events like Burger Master and Pizza Master, unveiled his list of the “most incredible” restaurants in the country for 2024.
“Colombia has many restaurants, and indeed, many of them are quite excellent. I wouldn’t have enough time to visit them all. After nearly a decade of dining in restaurants worldwide, exploring thousands of tables and venues, discovering, tasting, and testing dishes, I can confidently say that these places in Colombia are THE BEST… “restaurants I always want to return to.” The 👏🏼 are for kitchens inspired by Colombia,” Tulio explains on his website.
One of the top-rated restaurants he mentioned is The Beautiful Unusual Kitchen in Manizales. Its chef, Jorge Jiménez Londoño, expressed gratitude to Tulio and everyone who has supported this journey.
“We receive this recognition with immense joy! It reflects the effort, creativity, passion, dedication, commitment, and research that we have cultivated over the past eight years. “Thank you to everyone who has believed in us. We are infinitely grateful to God, and special thanks to Tulio,” the restaurant and chef shared on their social media platforms.
Two additional restaurants from Manizales also feature on the list.
In the Little Treasures section, there is the project territory axis lab Empirical, specializing in live cuisine and dishes of disparity, led by chef Jhoan Sebastian Lopez and located in Cerro de Oro.
In the Colombians section, Wooden Stove stands out, a restaurant serving traditional Colombian cuisine, with recipes passed down from the grandmothers of the Coffee Region, located along the Manizales – Neira highway.

Three restaurants in Manizales conquered the palate of Tulio Recomienda and entered his top list of incredible places he would visit again.
The businessman and chef from Barranquilla, Tulio Zuloaga, known as Tulio Recommends, recognized for recommending gastronomic experiences in Colombia and for the Burger Master and Pizza Master, revealed his list of the “most incredible” restaurants in the country this 2024.

After almost 10 years of visiting restaurants around the world, eating at thousands of tables and corners, discovering, trying and testing, I can consider these places in Colombia: THE BEST… “restaurants where I always want to return.” The 👏🏼 are for kitchens inspired by Colombia,” explains Tulio in his website.
