Venezuelan prosecutors request red alert for Milei

The Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, requested this Tuesday the activation of the Interpol red alert against the president of ArgentinaJavier Milei, and two senior officials of his government.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a formal request to Interpol related to a case of crime involving both local and transnational spheres, violating conventions against organized crime. This criminal act cannot be attributed to an isolated event.

According to Saab, the recent actions of the Argentine government against Venezuela are due to “retaliation or revenge” in response to the actions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the case of the “theft of the Venezuelan plane.”

The Venezuelan government acted legally by taking action against the perpetrator of the theft of the Emtrasur plane, Saab said.

“The action of the Public Prosecutor’s Office was ordered by a competent court and publicly announced by the TSJ. The reaction of Milei’s government is unbridled and unbalanced, since they have no right to steal a plane,” he said.

Alleged crimes committed through the website, now almost Venezuela, are being investigated and several names of alleged perpetrators have been identified.
