An easy way to self-regularize unregistered mobile phones is now introduced

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new method to regularize unregistered mobile phones. For this purpose, the Federal Board of Revenue has issued Customs General Order No. 10 by amending the Customs General Order No. 1 issued on January 18, 2019.

This General Order states that applicants will be required to provide all the information and data through VBox under the automated system to get their registered mobile phones regularized.
The data and information provided and the application attached thereto will be processed through the automated system and through this automated system the mobile phone devices will be cleared on payment as per prevailing rates of duty and taxes.
And for regularization of unregistered mobile devices, system generated payment slip ID will be issued for payment of duties and taxes and this payment slip ID will also be generated electronically.
However, a major facility given by FBR to the public for payment of duties and taxes is that they will be able to pay the amount in different ways. The applicant will have this facility.
he can pay duties and taxes through online banking system or use mobile banking, pay through ATMs or even through bank branches.
Once the system verifies the payment and collection of duties and taxes for the respective mobile phone and device, then the respective mobile device will automatically be added to the DIRBS whitelist.
And the mobile device will be regularized. Similarly, passengers coming from abroad will also be obliged to register their mobile phones within sixty days
