Russia says it has sent 25 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

Since October 9, when Israel declared a complete encirclement of the Palestinian territory, it has severely restricted the delivery of essential aid such as water, food and medicine to the Gaza Strip.

“A special plane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 25 tons of humanitarian aid to the Arab Republic of Egypt,” the Russian Emergencies Service wrote on social networks.

It announced that the Il-76 plane had departed from Kazan airport in central Russia and that the package contained food and hygiene items, clothing and portable stoves.

“The humanitarian cargo has already been handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society,” the service added.

“Further Russian aid will be sent to the residents of the Gaza Strip,” the latest statement said.
