Israeli attacks on Lebanon, 9 martyrs including top Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqeel – World

Israel’s armed forces have stepped up attacks on Lebanon. After 37 deaths in pager and walkie-talkie blasts, Hezbollah and Hamas have fired rockets at northern Israel again.

The Israeli army destroyed 100 rocket launchers and more than 1,000 barrels installed in them by targeting several bases in southern Lebanon in addition to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

Israeli Army Radio said in a broadcast that Friday’s attack on the Lebanese capital was aimed at Hezbollah’s operational commander Ibrahim Aqeel.

The French news agency has claimed that Hezbollah’s second-in-command, Ibrahim Aqeel, was killed in an Israeli attack, referring to Hezbollah sources.

The British Broadcasting Agency said that this is the third air attack of the Israeli army on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, during this year. Security sources have said that members of Hezbollah’s elite force Rizwan were also martyred in the attack targeting Ibrahim Aqeel. According to the Israeli news portal Aruz Sheva, the US State Department had placed a reward of 7 million dollars on Ibrahim Aqeel.
