“Countries Offered Assistance”… Lebanese Health Minister Speaks to Alhurra After the Raid

Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport announced on its website the cancellation of more than 30 flights to and from Beirut on Tuesday.

The website showed the cancellation of flights for various airlines, including Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, and other companies from the Emirates.

“Flights between Dubai and Beirut have been cancelled today and tomorrow due to ongoing developments,” a Flydubai spokesman told Reuters on Tuesday.

In a statement, Etihad Airways announced the cancellation of its flights to and from Beirut on Tuesday.

Air Arabia also announced on its website the “cancellation of Sharjah-Beirut and Abu Dhabi-Beirut flights today (Tuesday).”

“All flights to and from Beirut have been suspended today and tomorrow due to the current situation,” Qatar Airways said in a statement to Reuters.

Hundreds of Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in several areas of Lebanon on Monday left 492 people dead, including 35 children, according to Lebanese authorities, in the most violent airstrikes ever targeting this country since the exchange of fire on both sides of the border began about a year ago against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.

Israel announced, through its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, that its army is “changing the security balance” in northern Israel, where it wants to return residents who fled the cross-border shelling.

On Monday evening, the Israeli army announced that it had named its military operation against Hezbollah “Arrows of the North,” noting that on its first day it included striking 1,600 Hezbollah targets.

In its statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry called on “the international community and influential and effective parties to assume their roles and responsibilities to end conflicts in the region.”

She stressed “the importance of preserving Lebanon’s stability and respecting its sovereignty in accordance with international law.”

Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging cross-border shelling since the war broke out in the Gaza Strip on October 7. Hundreds of Hezbollah members and civilians in Lebanon have been killed in Israeli raids, while dozens of Israeli soldiers and civilians have been killed in Hezbollah shelling.
