This Monday, the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life welcomed Gil Avérous to the post of Minister.
In this position, the Mayor of the city of Châteauroux succeeds Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, in office since May 2022 with a Ministry involved in holding the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During the handover ceremony, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra was able to look back in detail on the last two years of work alongside her colleagues.
A job “based on a method undoubtedly inspired by my 15 years of experience in business. Establish precisely the objective to be achieved, clarify the roles and responsibilities to achieve it, including untangling along the way what was then the terrible spaghetti bowl of governance in French sport.”
For his part, Gil Avérous notably thanked Michel Barnier and Emmanuel Macron for “trust granted”The latter has committed to continuing the momentum with “the same fervor as you”.
