If you get tired of walking or most of your work is walking, then there is a perfect solution for you. Outdoor brand Arc’teryx and Skip have created a hiking trouser with a built-in exoskeleton that provides a 40 percent power boost to the legs.
Designed to withstand mobility challenges caused by aging, fatigue and injury, the pants are called “MO/GO” which is short for “Mountain Goat”.
The pants have motors mounted on the knees that support the leg muscles during the ascent and the knee joint during the descent.
The project was originally started by a team at the Google X Research and Development Facility, who formed their own company “Skip” in 2023 to bring the idea to market.
