According to the Ministry of Public Health of LebanonThe death toll from Monday’s Israeli attack on several sites in Lebanon has risen to 274, with more than 1,000 wounded, as mass evacuations from southern Lebanon continue.
Minister Firas Abiad, the airstrikes that have taken place since this morning in the southern and eastern regions of the country have left 274 dead and 1,024 injured, including some who hit ambulances and medical centers.
Two medical workers were killed and 16 others injured during the bombings while they were involved in transporting victims to hospitals.
Wounded by Israeli attack
The Ministry of Public Health is already in contact with authorities in several allied countries to obtain medical supplies and medicines, and is preparing to raise the alert level in the health sector in case the attacks spread, according to Abiad.
Since last week, clashes between Israel and the Shiite group Hezbollah have escalated in intensity, with the simultaneous explosion of thousands of communication devices in the hands of members of the Lebanese organization and the assassination of several of its senior commanders near Beirut.
The attacks left an estimated 80 people dead and 3,000 injured in Lebanon, triggering several massive bombing campaigns by Israel.
