Plans for a major expansion of the Northvolt Ett plant are being put on hold and the focus will now be on accelerating battery cell production at the plant.
Due to a drop in orders and problems ramping up production, the company recently announced that it would scale back its expansion plans. Northvolt, led by former Tesla manager Peter Carlsson, wants to produce the world’s most environmentally friendly batteries. But production problems and a lost order are slowing the company down.
