At HUAWEI CONNECT 2024, Huawei presented its first presentation at the global education summit on the theme of “Promoting ICT talent to strengthen educational intelligence” introduced its solution for cultivating ICT talents. In addition, Huawei and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) jointly launched a smart campus exhibition center to cultivate well-trained ICT talents and accelerate the intelligent transformation of the education industry.
Participants in the solution launch were Youssef Ben Halima, Advisor to the Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Suthiporn Truktrong, Acting Vice President of Prince of Songkla University; Hu Yining, Deputy Director and Doctoral Supervisor of Network and Information Center of Southeast University; Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and President of Global Public Sector; Liu Jiansheng, President of Huawei’s Learning and Certification Services Department; and Sun Gang, Director of Huawei’s ICT Talent Partner Development Department.
Huawei’s ICT talent development solution strengthens various industries
With the rapid development of the global digital economy and ICT industry, the demand for ICT talent is also increasing. In order to cultivate well-trained ICT talents, Huawei has developed an innovative ICT talent training solution. Huawei has worked with over 2,700 universities and educational institutions worldwide to train new ICT professionals who meet market demands. In particular, Huawei is working with Shenzhen Polytechnic University to continuously improve the quality of teaching by jointly developing new curricula, training teachers, and building training centers. To date, more than 4,800 students have received Huawei certifications and are taking up positions in the field of informatization, contributing to the advancement of the digital economy and industry.

Huawei and USST have jointly created a smart campus exhibition center that showcases advanced concepts and serves as a model for building a smart campus in China and beyond. To build a fully digital smart university, USST focuses on the two main aspects of data and applications, and works with Huawei to promote the introduction of one-stop online services, management and learning, significantly improving management efficiency and service levels.
Zhao Ming, vice president of USST, said the university is committed to accelerating intelligence in education and building a first-class science and technology university with outstanding capabilities. USST will continue to promote intelligent education and optimize teaching, research and management to develop into a more intelligent educational institution.
