Justice Asjad Javed Gharal of Lahore High Court heard the petition of Ghulam Mohiuddin’s wife Saba Dewan. Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq and Rana, a well-known advocate, appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner.

During the hearing, the Lahore High Court expressed its indignation at the response of the Punjab government.

The lawyer of the Punjab government said that we have fixed the petition of the petitioner for Monday, on this the court inquired what material do you have as a justification for the detention?

Later, the Lahore High Court annulled the detention of Tehreek-e-Insaf, member of the Azad Kashmir Assembly, Ghulam Mohiuddin, and ordered his immediate release.

It may be recalled that on September 18, the detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member Azad Kashmir Assembly Ghulam Mohiuddin was challenged in the Lahore High Court.
