Deportiva Venados is preparing for its debut in the 2024 Apertura season of the Premier League. And it wants the campaign to leave a mark on Yucatecan football.
The horned team will make its debut in the Serie A calendar this Saturday, when it receives Ínter Playa del Carmen, one of the most important organizations in southeastern Mexico in recent years, at the “Alonso Diego Molina” Stadium in Tamanché.
Deportiva will open its third season in the Premier League, where it arrived with the card obtained in the Third Professional Division League in the 2021-22 campaign, undefeated.
“We have put together an interesting team, with players who we believe have the quality to allow Deportiva Venados to fight to get into the finals and aspire to the championship. Those are the plans,” says the team president, Alonso Diego Molina.
The tournament will be special, as the club will commemorate ten years of its creation for professional football, starting in the Third Division. On the day of the game, Saturday at 4 pm, the team will give away commemorative shirts for the tenth anniversary.
“It has been a decade of intense work, of training players, of building competitive teams, and Deportiva has always been at the top, in the Third Division and in the Premier. This time will be no exception.”
The shirts will be handed out at the entrance to the stadium, which will open its doors at 3 p.m. Admission to the match will be free.
