School safety guidelines extended until Monday – The Jerusalem Post

Educational institutions will continue to operate remotely, with no in-person learning in schools, the Home Front Command announced, extending its security directives for northern Israel on Sunday.

The directives regarding educational institutions will continue until Monday at 6:00 p.m. These directives apply to educational institutions in the Golan Heights, Galilee and the Gulf region.

The education system in these areas will operate solely online, with no in-person learning in schools. Student transportation in these regions has also been cancelled, as has all informal travel and activities.

In addition to extending the security directives, the strike by high school students in northern Israel has been suspended as of Sunday, the National Student Council and the National Parents’ Leadership announced.

The strike is a rotating strike, meaning it alternates cities across the North. The decision was made due to rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, the announcement said.

The emotional support line is strengthened

The Home Front Command also reiterated that the emotional support line has been reinforced with additional experts and can be reached at *6552 extension 5. The hotline is active from 7:00 am daily.
