O YouTube Premium is about to become more expensive in Brazil. According to reports from users abroad, in some countries prices have already increased, especially in the family plan which has seen an increase of 44,44%. Although there is no information about the size of the adjustment in Brazil, we can expect this increase to also happen here.

Family Plan becomes 44.44% more expensive in Europe

According to reports, YouTube Premium prices have already increased significantly in countries like Belgium, Netherlands and Italy. For the family plan, the value, which was previously € 18now passed to € 26. The individual plan has already seen an increase of € 12 to € 14., which represents an increase of 16,67%.

Other countries, such as Switzerlandwere also affected. There, the family plan went from CHF 24 to CHF 34while users of the Sweden saw an even more significant increase, with the value rising from SEK 179 to SEK 279. These increases are generating a lot of dissatisfaction, as they put the YouTube Premium as one of the most expensive streaming services on the market, beating out competitors like Spotify and Apple Music.

Many claim that the YouTube Premium may be becoming less competitive compared to other music and video streaming services available, especially considering the variety of alternatives on the market.

And in Brazil?

Although these increases have occurred in Europe, there is a chance that they will soon reach Brazil. However, it is still difficult to predict exactly how much this adjustment will be here. Given the history of other platforms, it is likely that YouTube will follow the same trend of increases in the country.
