The field of the Superbike Championship will arrive between July 25 and 27, and the competitors of the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 categories of the world championship series will arrive at the track near Lake Balaton between August 22 and 24.
Future in August the speed motorcycle world championship, in July and the round of the Superbike World Championship will also be held at the Balaton Park Circuit, located next to Balatonfőkajár – reads the MTI information.
The contract was signed for 10 years from 2025 to 2034, and the cooperation with Balaton Park Circuit is for three years with HUMDA Zrt., which performs promoter and organizer tasks.
Balázs Weingartner, the chairman of the board of HUMDA Zrt., said that since 2019 the company and Dorna Sports – the rights owner of the competition series – have been negotiating the implementationand highlighted the tourist benefits associated with domestic races.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, the Dorna Sports CEO said that the competition calendar it will be published soon, and hopefully the course approval procedure will go smoothly. He is also confident that the competitions will be successful in terms of the number of spectators.
According to what was said at the press conference, it is necessary for the track to be suitable for the arrangement Grade A license, it will be passed this year on some developments.
The Balaton Park Circuit was already included in this year’s race calendar of the Superbike World Championship, but the race was canceled at the beginning of the summer.
