“It’s not TNT”.. The inventor of “Wi-Fi” reveals a surprise about the reason for the “pager” explosions in Lebanon

The Egyptian expert said that the explosions that took place in Lebanon may have been the result of placing certain connectors inside these devices, which led to their explosion, rejecting the hypothesis of “the use of conventional explosives by the Israelis to carry out the operation.”

The technology expert added, during a phone call to the “Hadrat Al-Mowaten” program broadcast on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel, that “technology may be behind these explosions, as the software of the devices may be tampered with or internal components may be placed that cause serious malfunctions,” noting that “this type of attack indicates a development in technological warfare methods.”

He explained that “some analysts linked the incident to technological updates that occurred several months ago, such as Microsoft updates, which caused the disruption of many systems and government agencies, and considered them as experiments by the superpowers to test their capabilities in controlling technology on a global scale.”

Dr. Zaghloul warned of the serious risks that could result from an Internet outage, stressing that the world today has become almost entirely dependent on digital communication in all areas, from the economy and education to healthcare and security.

Zaghloul said: “If the Internet is disrupted, we will feel as if science has stopped, as everything in our lives has become linked to digital networks, and any disruption in these networks could lead to global paralysis.”

He added that the increasing geopolitical tensions and the use of technology as a weapon between countries pose new challenges to the world, as the Internet and devices connected to it can be used as a means to achieve military or economic goals, which increases the risks of cyber wars that may lead to the disruption of infrastructure in entire countries.

It is worth noting that the explosions that took place in Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday targeted pager communication devices in many areas, resulting in the death of at least 37 people and the injury of 2,931 others.
