Complaints expose fake businessmen’s attempts to plunder public funds

Complaints filed with the Public Prosecution Office and the Tax Directorate have exposed fraudulent methods of plundering and laundering state funds, adopted by influential parties who exploit the state’s announcement of various projects to rush to provide aid to the unemployed and illiterate to establish companies, then give them state projects in exchange for the largest share of the profits.

According to informed sources, those involved in these actions contributed to the emergence of a new generation of businessmen who lack scientific training and competence by providing financial support to establish companies in their names, in order to avoid any conflict of interest, with an explicit clause stipulating that they would receive a large percentage of the profits.

The same sources confirmed that this type of company has spread in the agricultural and construction sectors and other social sectors that enjoy state sponsorship and funding. Whenever financial support is allocated to a particular sector, these companies proliferate in a short period of time, to benefit from deals with large sums of money, even though they are newly established.

The aforementioned sources provided examples of these companies, one of which was established in the south as soon as the launch of a major project to develop a well-known city was announced. After the establishment, it benefited from important deals, including a deal to manufacture and sell building materials or to pave specific distances of roads.

In addition, another company benefited from a state-funded deal in the agricultural sector, after its manager was instructed to rent agricultural land and present the contract linking it to the state to the bank, which enabled it to obtain an attractive contract.

After benefiting from the contracts, those involved in these actions extract their share of the profits, based on the previously signed contract, to avoid any manipulation by the managers. However, the strange thing is that they cancel their powers as soon as they benefit from the profits, by notifying the tax representatives that they are subject to tax audit and review, and then the ball is thrown back with new faces.
