Police action at wedding ceremony in India, groom escapes from the scene

There was a sudden commotion in the wedding ceremony in India when the police entered the hall to take action against the illegal marriage, seeing the groom fled the scene.

During the Ain Nikah ceremony in Hasanabad of Pargana district of West Bengal, there was a commotion when the groom also left the marriage and fled after seeing the police coming.

According to Indian media, Rajab Ali Ghazi, a resident of Hassanabad, had made all preparations to marry his 15-year-old daughter to 22-year-old Abid Ali Mistry.

The wedding ceremony had been fully organized and various kinds of food had been prepared for the guests. Suddenly, seeing the policemen coming inside the wedding hall, the bridegroom lost his temper and fled from there.

News of the arrival of the police and the escape of the bridegroom spread like wildfire, with people running around in chaos and panic.

Police officer Subhasish Das called Rajab Ali Ghazi, the father of the minor bride Shabnam (pseudonym) and made detailed inquiries about his daughter, to which the father of the bride said that my daughter is 15 years old, I know this very well. I know but got a good relationship so I agreed for marriage what is wrong in that.

On which the police officer said that yes, your mistake is that the age of the girl is 15 years and legally she is not capable of marriage, on this basis all the people in the marriage may have to go to jail.

Later, on the instructions of the police officer, the fugitive groom was found and the marriage process was completed, in the presence of the police, a bond was prepared in the name of one million rupees and imprisonment for five years. The signatures of both the girl and the boy were taken on the Machalke and the girl was instructed to wait for 18 years to get married.
