At the end of a spectacular match, dominated by the young Strasbourg team, Lille came very close to another catastrophe.

The magnificent youth of Strasburg
Emanuel Emegha is a worthy representative. With a goal and an assist against LOSC, the 21-year-old Dutchman is the image of his young and sharp team. However, everything had started badly for Liam Rosenior’s men, who were two goals behind in the 27th minute, but Andrey Santos (20 years old) well helped by Diego Moreira (20 years old) sounded the revolt (30′). Young, inexperienced and yet full of character, Emegha (21 years old) and Nanasi (22 years old) allowed Strasbourg to take the lead with style and character. A few more games for a gradual gain in confidence and the Strasbourg team could well be formidable and play a leading role this season.
Zhegrova voit double
The pride of the champion, after a totally missed meeting in the Champions League against Sporting this Tuesday, the X factor of Lille was keen to make up for it in front of his supporters. Precise in his passes and impactful on each of his changes of pace, the Kosovar was decisive from the 15th minute with a goal of which he has the secret. 12 minutes later, the Dogues winger did it again by following up well on an action in which he had participated well. In the weak moments of Lille in the second half, Zhegrova was the first to sound the revolt and make differences on his side. This kind of performance should be repeated to get his team out of the abyss.

Lille’s defense overwhelmed
Already singled out for several games, the Lille defense completely lost its footing against Strasbourg. Much too slow to contain the passion of the blue and white. Meunier and Gudmundsson went through hell defending against their opponents. The first almost condemned his team with a gross foul on Nanasi in the 34th minute that should have been a penalty, fortunately the referee didn’t see anything… and what can we say about the lesson Diego Moreira gave him on his wing. The second, preferred to Bakker, didn’t do much better. Never in the rhythm, he made a series of errors in the face of pressure from the Racing players.
Genesio, the last straw?
The Lille tactician came very close to disaster. Until the 84th minute, Lille was heading towards a fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions. Saved by its attackers, LOSC took a point. The Dogues squad already seems exhausted, unable to maintain races for 90 minutes. For good reason, Lille is playing its 10th match since the start of the season (the club played the Champions League play-offs at the start of the season). With a bad start in the Champions League and seven points taken in the league out of a possible fifteen, the days of the former Olympique Lyonnais coach could be numbered. Especially when Olivier Létang seems to be losing patience.
