Ukraine continues to bomb Russian weapons depots

“Ukrainian forces carried out successful attacks on two Russian weapons depots inside Russia on the night of Saturday,” says the Ukrainian military in a statement.

One is outside the city of Thikoretsk in the Krasnodar region and is described by Ukraine as one of Russia’s three largest ammunition depots and which is important for Russian warfare in Ukraine.

In video posted on social media shows a massive explosion lighting up the night sky.

On Saturday afternoon, the city council in Thikoretsk declared a state of emergency as a result of the drone attack, and Krasnodar’s governor ordered that 1,200 people had to be evacuated from the area.

A weapons warehouse in the Tver region is also said to have been hit in a Ukrainian drone attack on the night of Saturday, and here too it led to a large fire and a series of explosions.

On Wednesday this week, a Ukrainian drone attack on a weapons warehouse in the Russian Toropet led to a violent explosion. It was measured at a magnitude of 2.7, the same as a small earthquake.

According to British intelligence the attack probably led to such great material losses that it may affect Russia’s ground efforts, particularly in the Kursk region.
