Hiking month in the Gorges de la Loire : An invitation to hike in Haute-Loire around Monistrol-sur-Loire, Aurec-sur-Loire and Lake Grangent, in the heart of Auvergne-Rhône Alpes.
In October, the Gorges de la Loire will awaken your senses, during a multitude of sporty or themed walks and hikes, between the wild Loire and viewpoints over the Velay volcanoes.
Hiking on the GR® 3 “Source and Gorges of the Loire” with return by train, Singing hike, New Moon hike, Walk in the company of birds of prey, tasting hike, etc. On a weekday or at the weekend, for seasoned walkers or those who enjoy strolling, with family or friends, everyone will find the hike that suits them.
Local restaurants participating in the operation will offer the “hiker’s menu”
On the program for example:
- Friday October 11, circuit of the houses of béates, hike around 6 houses of béates of Ste-Sigolène, 15km starting from Ste-Sigolène at 9am. Anecdotes told by Auguste Januel, passionate about local heritage.
- Sunday October 13: heritage hike on the paths of the Tiranges plateau. 10km starting from Tiranges, 2 p.m.
- Saturday October 26, hike and train.
From Bas-en-Basset to Aurec-sur-Loire by the GR® 3, 22km departure 8:30 a.m. from Bas-sen-Basset. Return by TER. Hike proposed by the Monistrolien Hiking Club.
